another kid sad and alone."

Card Description: For my Loteria Card I wanted to share my thoughts on field workers . I chose as a subject matter because I want to express on the problems about unfairness.. The colors in the piece represent the green shows the plants and brown for the muds. The images in the piece represent the workers working under the sun. For me personally, this card represents my teenage years working in the summer. I want the audience to see the poor circumstances we go through working..

Student Biography: My name is Adilene Villa and I am a senior at Santa Maria High School. I live in Santa Maria, California with my mother, my father, and my brother. My family is from Mexico. In my Loteria card, I chose to represent father's absence. What inspired me to draw my Loteria card was my own personal experience and how many other people didn't or don’t have fathers or have father figures in their lives. The artistic process was brainstorming, sketching different ideas after that choosing one sketch, and finally choosing colors and painting. Life after high school will be fun I want to become a radiologist technologist so I plan to go to a community college and then transfer to a different college.
