Student Biography: My name is Jacqueline Guerrero-Camacho. I was born and raised in Santa Maria California. I  come from a family of seven my parents and 4 sisters. I enjoy to playing soccer and travel to Mexico to  visit my family. After graduation I hope in attending Cal Poly Slo and studying Kinesiology to later join a  DPT program and becoming a Physical Therapist.  El Dia de los Muertos is a celebration that starts on October 31 and ends on November 2. On  October 31st people start the celebration by visiting their loved one’s gravesites and decorating them for  the celebration. This I also the day that the doors opens in order for our loved ones to cross over back to  our world. On November 1st is the Dia de los Ninos Difuntos which is a day in which kids that have  passed are welcomed to travel back to their families for the celebration and on November 2nd is the day  that anyone else that has passed is welcomed back. During these days there are many ways to celebrate  one of the most common ways I t build alters with pictures and ofrendas of hat their loved ones once  loved. Other ways are to decorate their headstones, bringing them music like mariachi and to have  pasatelas de catrins.
